How to directly download a file?

Hi :slight_smile: I want to directly download files that are stored in the database. (It can be different files (png., mp4, etc..)

The problem is:

  1. If I just use the Open an external website action, the file doesn’t download, it just shows up in the browser (if it’s .mp4 or .png for example).
  2. If I use a download-plugin (e.g.: from Airdev) the download will be processed in the background and only be shown in the browser once it is completed.

I need a solution to download the files directly, the download progress should be visible and it should be without opening the file in the browser.

Can anyone help?

This plugin allows you to directly download files stored in your database (like .png, .mp4, etc.), and importantly, it does so in the background. This means the download progress will be visible, and the file won’t open in the browser, which aligns perfectly with what you’re looking for!

Additionally, if you’re on a paid plan, you can subscribe to the plugin for just a day or any number of days you need, and you’ll only be charged for the actual usage time. Thank you. :+1: As it also download it in the background it is not exactly what I wanted, but at least I can use a progress bar to display the percentage.
