How to hide a text/button element

hello bubblers…i have a profile page for my users to view and edit their profile information, i need to know how i can make the edit button/text visible only when the user is looking at their own profile but not visible when they are browsing other user’s. ?

when current user is current page user: show edit button
or when current user is whatever’s user: show edit button.
set your button to hidden on page load.
