How to use Drag/Drop groups to reorder a Repeating Group

Hey folks. I’m having trouble figuring out if it’s possible to reorder the items in repeating group cells using Drag/Drop groups and areas. I want to be able to take the items in one cell and drop them in another cell and have the index number of the items change accordingly. Is this possible? Has anybody implemented it?

All of the sample apps that use Drag/Drop are riddled with thousands of errors and seem to be unusable.
