I want to read data from an REST API that is external, can Bubble do this?

Hi,

I have a production system that exposes its data via a RESTful API. Can I read this from Bubble?

The documentation seems to keep steering me towards pre-written API plugins - this is not what I want.

This would be a show-stopper for me. So I’d like to get a feel for this before investing too much time with Bubble.

It’s not frequently asked as most modern APIs are JSON based. If your API on XML?

Yes. But we’re considering developing a JSON version too.
