Image size to upload

Hello,

When users upload the image, I think it is better that image should be tiny.
Like Instagram web app, when users upload their image, the uploads time is so long.
For example, the original size is 5MB, but it is better to shrink to 1MB before upload.

Let me know how to resolve this.

Thanks for the post and great question! It definitely makes sense to limit upload sizes when possible. The methods to do this can vary based on the uploader you’re using, but if you’re using our built in Image uploader there’s a ‘limit image size before upload’ checkbox that you might consider checking.

I’d recommend testing this setting though in your dev environment to make sure the resulting filesize matches any needs you might have for the images to make sure there aren’t any surprises. But, by the sounds of it, this’ll be the setting you’ll want to go with.
