In App Payments (Apple / Google) - Release in nov '25?

Hi,

A lot of threads regarding this… But most of them closed now.

What’s the latest regarding IAP for the native mobile builder? @josh

Launching my MVP real soon, conquer the world and so on. Need to collect payments.

Same, same. Ready to release now… waiting on IAP

Whats your use-case for IAP? What are you selling? There are workarounds.

It’s an SaaS b2c app. I googled last night and as I understand it’s nowdays OK with external payment for subscription if you sell within EU?

I’m in the same situation. I tried submitting my app to Apple, but they didn’t accept any payment methods other than their In-App Purchase system.

My app is designed for sports nutrition tracking, and I need to charge users a subscription fee (monthly or yearly).

The worst part is that I’m paying for Bubble’s Native service, I’ve paid for the Apple Developer license, and yet I can’t charge my customers in any way. I’ll have to release my app for free for now.

I honestly don’t understand how Bubble can charge for Bubble Native when I can’t even charge my own customers at all.

Global release or in EU? As I understand it can eventually be OK in EU?

Only in Brazil.

Hi. I have the same issue and waiting for good news from bubble with this functionnality. Why do you say that for eu it should work. I understood it is for the US that it coyld be ok.

If someone has a workaround, please share.

Since Bubble deprioritized building IAP (Monthly Community Update – November 2025 - Announcements - Bubble Forum) I tried a not-great idea.

I decided to launch my app for free so I could at least start getting users. I wanted to make it clear that it would not be free forever so my customers wouldn’t feel like I did a bait and switch by giving it to them for free and then charging out of the blue. So I put a note front and center that said “This app is in Beta and you are getting Premium features for free! Submit feedback here.”

Because of the “beta” flag, Apple rejected it.

Has anyone else figured out a way for lack of IAP to not be a complete blocker to their business?

@fede.bubble please make sure the team is aware of how critical this is. I know they are working on a ton of things, but the mobile product isn’t actually a full product until we can charge for the app that we’ve put time and money into creating.

@tdog2x
I don’t know if this is ethical or not, or allowed or not, have you tried hiding the “beta flag”, push to appstore, when approved, use OTA to make it visible?

@miracle I thought about that, but I don’t want to anger the Apple gods. I changed the wording to say “You are currently enjoying a free taste of our Premium features. Tell us what you think.”

Of course, I had to do a new build and not just OTA because Bubble updated something, so now I’m waiting for the new build so I can resubmit and see if Apple will accept that.

In the meantime, I just downgraded my subscription to free until IAP is live. I have a few more days on my billing cycle, so if Apple accepts my new version then I’ll keep Bubble. Otherwise I’ll have to let the subscription downgrade and wait.

I’m in the same boat. Apple rejected my app because it didn’t include in-app purchases. I even managed to set up payments using the Brazilian system called PIX, but they didn’t accept it at all. I can’t say that I’m unable to use in-app purchases, because then they reject the app saying it’s not ready or doesn’t have the proper technology. I’m spending quite a bit while waiting for Bubble to release this feature, which still has no official timeline. I still don’t understand why they’re charging for the Native plan if it can’t even get Apple approval for payments. In other words, you pay for it but have no way to generate revenue.

@forti Uh oh, did I just screw myself over by telling Apple the truth…? There’s no winning!

Also, I agree that it’s wild for them to charge for a tool that doesn’t allow us to monetize. I wish I had done better research when choosing a platform. I just really did not consider that they would come out of beta and charge for a product that wasn’t fully developed with features that are literally business critical.

In the meantime, all I can do is downgrade to free until they launch this and tell other people to choose a different platform (both of which I’ve already done)
