Hey guys, I am looking to use a checkbox that when checked it will bring up an input (so the current user) can input some text.

There are a few ways to do this based on the UI you want, but here is the simplest way
Create an Input element. Make the element not visible on page load (a setting you can adjust undet eh Appearance tab)
Put a Conditional on the Input: “When [CHECKBOX] is checked” then This element is visible (checked yes) - shown in picture below
If you want this checkbox to appear and push down other elements below it, then you can put this conditional statement on a Group and make sure the “Collapse element’s height when hidden” checkbox is checked. And then put an input an input inside this group
