Is AI being used when searching within app data?

I want to see if I have a company listed in my app data.

So I search for it in the search bar for that app data set.

It does not come up as I do not have it listed, HOWEVER the (IRL) parent company comes up.

If I put in another (IRL) associated brand again that (IRL) parent company comes up.

As far as I can tell I do not have the company I am searching for or any (IRL) associated brands listed in my data set, in any of the fields. I have searched through each field and see nothing. This leads me to wonder if the search is using AI and “knows” that parent company is associated with the company I am searching for/brand I searched for and is “helpfully” brining it up as a result. Or am I being paranoid??

I’m sure that AI isn’t being used to filter results in the app data section. This would actually be an interesting use-case for their AI xD, but it’s going to be a while till we see some progress there :slight_smile:

It’s likely in the description of the parent company or some other field on it.

I know :sob: but I’ve searched through each field and they’re blank… other than the name of the company, url (which doesn’t include any reference to anything but the company) and the telephone number (which IS the same number listed on search engines as the original company I’m searching for). All I can think of it’s not using AI is that I have a deleted field that contained the information. I will look at those (if there even are any) now. Good to know it’s not AI and probably there somewhere… Otherwise it would get very confusing!
