Likely the documentation needs updating… I think @josh was referring to lists in the database, and “in-memory” lists can still go up to 10,000 items.

Adding a limit to max list length

We’re currently hitting some scaling difficulties with very long lists. To keep this from impacting the performance of Bubble, we’re rolling out a limit on the maximum length of a list: we will no longer let apps add more than 1000 items (attempting to do so will result in an error message).
