Making Text Copyable in Bubble Mobile

Hey,

I’m developing an app in Bubble’s mobile beta, and I noticed none of the texts I display are selectable, so they can’t be copied and pasted from the app.

However, I’d like users to be able to select and copy paste text – is there a way to achieve this? For some reason, when searching the forum I only see the opposite question (i.e. how to make text non-selectable, e.g. by putting a transparent group in front of it), but for me this behavior seems to be the default, and the only tricks I found so far are pretty ugly hacks (e.g. putting the text in an input – but then it also pops up a keyboard, and allows the user to delete it). Am I missing some obvious setting? It would be a shame to not let users paste useful information out of the app.

Thanks!

I think it should be built in too, but until then:

Thanks. I’m actually using this one, it’s much cheaper ($6 instead of $40) and provides a single, convenient action. So I take it there’s no way to make text selectable in Mobile?

@nick.carroll @fede.bubble Hey, any chance to get a reply from someone at Bubble? Thanks!

If you want a free and fast way, you can use the bubble plugin add to any share buttons. It’s not the best for your use case, but it’s the only thing I can think of. When the user clicks on the text that interests you, the native iOS and Android popup opens and among the various sharing options there is also copy…

I hope it can help in the meantime..
