This is going to cause security issues and the entire point of a backend workflow is so your business logic, API calls, etc. stays in the backend. It should only return the final value. According to the live stream this feature was vibe coded by someone without programming experience, not sure if these two things are related but it seems like a pretty big oversight to just have each of the steps visible. Really hope this changes as otherwise I have zero use for this feature.
