Hi, I am trying to use an input dropdown plugin but when I go to create the new data in my workflow, the dropdown is not available for the data type that I am using. Here’s some more detail… this is my first app - it is a gamified skill tracker mobile app. I have figured out most things however I am stuck on this one thing and I am not sure if I am missing something or if the issue is a genuine bug. I have created the data type: Skill, with a Field: Name. I am attempting to create a Challenges section where someone can create a new challenge using one of their current skills (and other options). I have set up the design view to have a text based input for the name of the challenge and multiple dropdown menus for choosing the rest of the details of the challenge (including the skill). When I try to setup the workflow to create the new challenge (after pressing a button). The Name field shows multiple input options including the text input and all the dropdowns, but when I try to add the Skill Field, the only available input is the Text input (all the dropdown options are now missing). I have double checked that all the data types match appropriately, but just can’t seem to get the dropdowns to show as an option (even tried two different plugins - still having the same issue.) Any help would be much appreciated.
The dropdown is not really available on mobile, it is not the type of data you are using. There are several plugins that allow you to insert a dropdown but personally I don’t recommend it. Instead, use a sheet with a short list for choices..
Thank you, I thought that might be the case. Would you have any idea when this feature might be available for the mobile beta? I really would prefer a dropdown, if I don’t have to wait too long.
I don’t think it will ever be.. The dropdown is not a native element for mobile.. No serious app contains dropdown..
