Recently I noticed that when opening a “list” screen, the user’s view is landing in the middle, almost near the end of the list, instead of at the beginning as expected. I already changed the card height from “fit” to “fixed”, thinking that the differing card size proportions might be influencing this, but it didn’t change anything. I’ve also toggled “Reverse scroll” on and off — it only changes the list direction, but the effect of the user’s view starting in the middle-to-bottom of the list remains.
I’m attaching a video, 2 screenshots of the screen properties, and a paint image showing what happens versus what I expect. I’d appreciate some insight. I have 2 lists with the same problem, and the usability impact is unsettling.
We don’t have a “scroll to index X” option, or a “set focus to” element, so this isn’t something I can try to adjust with extra actions.
