Modify, or create if exists

When I view the step by step of the “Make changes to a thing…” element action there’s a visual clue to “Create if the thing doesn’t exist” and it’s set to no.

I’m trying to find out how to set this to yes so I can modify if it exists but create it if it doesn’t…just as it appears to suggest is possible. I just can’t figure out how to set this to yes.

How to create a ting if it doesnt exist

I have seen in a lot of tutorials the option to create a thing if it doesnt exist, but i cannot find it anywhere. I am trying to +1 to a value in the database if the record I want exists, if it doesnt exist i want to add it to the database. Below is a screen shot of the debugger that says “create if thing doesnt exist no” I would like it to say yes. [Capture] I am updating OK, but not writing new entries.

Thank you, I did add a second action already but once I saw there was (or used to be) an option to create during a modify I figured that this would eliminate some overhead and process quicker…not that, in my case, it’s going to make any noticeable difference in time but it does add additional complexity (however little) to the workflow.
