Create or Update a Thing

So many times i have to create workflows that have

  1. Create thing X (only if it does not exist)
  2. Update thing X (Only if it does exist)

Would be nice to have a Create or Update option that would inherently create it or update it with the same values if it already existed.

Ironically, there was an option in the past. Not sure why they removed it. :cry:

On ‘change a thing’ there used to be a checkbox that you could check to say, ‘create if doesn’t exist’. I do miss that feature. :blush: Maybe do a feature request: https://bubble.io/ideaboard

@crathbun I am still trying to figure out how to do #1 and #2. haha Can you should me your workflow for that?

Can’t show a workflow right now but you have to make two steps. And I like to put them in this order although things don’t occur necessarily in order

  1. Update (condition: only when thing exists)
  2. Create (condition: only when thing does not exist.
