My app is grinding to a halt as of this afternoon

As of the last 2 hours or so, my app has ground to a halt and become unworkably slow for all my users.

When someone makes a purchase, it takes 5 minutes for it to appear in their account (previously instant)

When someone filters and unfilters, it takes 2-5 minutes to process the change.

I haven’t made any new releases in the last few days, so don’t know why it’s going on! Chatting to bubble support, they’re slow to respond. So thought I’d post here and see if anyone else is having issues.

update from me: I can’t even export small amounts of data (2k rows). Getting this error email from bubble:

You requested a data export for your app’s queue today on Monday, December 8, 2025 3:22 PM, it failed because of an error, Sorry, we ran into a temporary bug and can’t complete your request. We’ll fix it as soon as we can; please try again in a bit!

Hey @anewinn I’m seeing similar slowdowns on a few apps, so you’re not alone. Since you haven’t pushed any changes, this looks more like a platform issue than something in your app.

Best move is to keep pressing Bubble support with your logs and timestamps so they can check what’s happening on their end. Hopefully they sort it out soon.

Thanks, thanks for this. After a lot of back-and-forth, it turns out that my app slows down when usage increases. A lot of people started using it (around double the normal number) and it all started slowing down. Not sure why the app just can’t continue working. And of course, worried now that I’m not going to be able to continue scaling on Bubble. I’m optimising workloads as much as possible…
