I found a bug which was causing my whole page to freeze and after they looked into it the response was “we are aware of the bug however we currently have nothing in the roadmap to address this bug”
ABSOLUTELY!! Elementary my dear Watson! I don’t understand that not being available out of the gate!
As typical, the most basic stuff isn’t released. This could be such a great feature.
Thank god they released a new elements tree though that no one likes or even asked for.
I ended up swapping my custom tables for the table element. I’m not going to lie; I’m a big fan of it for my needs. I hope they continue expanding on it, like making rows clickable (this seems obvious).
Overall, way easier to build and maintain than building a custom table, especially when it needs to be responsive.
Really? Just create a table reuseable element template, and copy that and change the search constraint and data types and you’re good to go. It can automatically handle pagination/numbers, dynamically show/hide columns…
haha I don’t have time for all that, bubba—it worked for me, just sharing my experience.
@georgecollier following up to say my custom-built table method was not this intuitive. Great idea here!
I too would love to see the development of the Table element. It’s great, but needs a few more features to fully capture my needs.
Big fan of this element, it has potential to be a very powerful tool. Would love to see a feature to export to CSV.
Also would be nice to hear from the team if they have a plan and timeline to fix some of the bugs and add more features to this element.
CSV export would be so nice.
I could look past everything else if I could simply have an export of the data. Otherwise…it’s still hard to use.
You can use the 1T - CSV Creator plugin and then reference the table’s list of items state in the JSON - works very well.
Great Tip! Going to try it.
Where can I get this ?
Hey @kate.mcnally, could I request adding a “show all items immediately” checkbox for the table, like there is for repeating groups?
I’m using a plug in to export my data to csv, but the data is incorrect when it’s not all loaded.
Unless there’s some hacky way to do this that some amazing bubble dev out there knows?
I wouldn’t say I’m an amazing bubble dev but I did think of a hacky workaround - can you have an invisible RG set to ‘load all items immediately’ and then reference that RG as your data source?
That’s an excellent idea! I’ve implemented that, and the table data is much faster to load when scrolling, but it still doesn’t all load immediately
Aww I was hoping to be the hacky hero of the day
Is it possible to trigger a workflow by clicking a table row?
Also, how can I access the Row’s data in the conditionals for that row? For example, if the Row’s User is in a specific customer state, can I change the background of the row to grey?
