[New FREE Plugin] Bingo Conditions - If / Then

Bingo Apps is focused on making your experience easier in Bubble.io.

With our recent releases, Bingo Conditions & Bingo Text Filter API, we’ve eliminated two really annoying issues with dealing with Bubble.

  1. if you want to check if one string is another string, comparing them is difficult.
  2. the more items you have that you want to compare to the string, this issue becomes more apparent
  3. Building the query to make this work takes a lot of time and when you are doing this for multiple items, that time adds up quickly.

Bingo Conditions is here to fix these issues.

Bingo Conditions is free while Bingo Text Filter API will be a $2/m subscription.

Features:

Bingo Conditions:

  • Create list of conditions / results in workflow
  • Digest result based on which condition returned true first

Bingo Text Filter API

  • Used mainly for inserting text on your page using ‘Insert Dynamic Data’ → ‘Get Data from an External API’
  • Compare text: easily compare two pieces of text and return text based on true or false
  • Render markdown: accepts markdown and automatically renders it as HTML on your site
  • Generate random string: generate a random string (with or without numbers) of chosen length
  • Generate random number: generate a random number between min and max

We will update both plugins based on your suggestions as well as our roadmap. We want to alleviate even more complex queries and make it possible for you to do it quickly.

Stay tuned for updates! Happy to answer any questions, thoughts, or concerns you have below.

Maybe I’m missing something, can you clarify what this does?

Arbitrary text is Arbitrary text will do this

Arbitrary text is arbitrary text:formatted as text

Calculate formula will do this

Calculate formula will (sort of) do this

Or maybe a real-life use case might make it easier to understand the value of this?

Thank you, just want to make sure I’m understanding it correctly

@georgecollier

Thanks for the questions!

You are totally right. Those features are available, but in my opinion, they are more convoluted than I would like.

For example, if I have 100 elements on a page, and I need to set up filtering for 10 of them - the amount of clicks it will take to set up the conditional for those 10 items is much higher than if you used Bingo Text Filter API. You would need to scroll down past all elements on your page to get to the filtering option. Then, if you want to update your filter, you have to find where it is in your query (which could be very long).

The goal is this plugin is to save you clicks while making complex, chained queries easier to read and work with (while also giving you much more control over functions you would use when filling in text on your site)

Hopefully this makes sense, happy to elaborate more, but its main purpose is to speed up your development

How many clicks would a mouse click take if a mouse click could click a mouse?
@georgecollier bonus points if you can finish this… “how many clicks does it take to get to the center of a ________”

Are you serious?? Everyone knows that a mouse would click as much as a mouse could click if a mouse could click a click.

I see your point, but if a mouse click could click would it click as much as if a mouse click could click a click?
