[New Plugin] Drag It - Enhance Your Repeating Groups with Drag-and-Drop Functionality: Rearrange, Sort, Reorder, and Transfer Items Between RGs Effortlessly

Ok I just updated. The data source is the RG’s list. Can you please check the screenshot to see if I set it up correctly?

And thanks for the compliment! Put a lot of hard work into it.

Everything is fine, just set what you put for the RG’s data source on the Drag It data source and use the “updated list” state for the data source of repeating group.

In general, to get data, use drag-it states.

Thanks for your assistance - I tried making sure the Drag-It’s source was set to the same as I had been using on the RG, and then on the RG the source was the Drag-It’s updated list - but it doesn’t work like I anticipated. Additionally wanted to clarify - is the DragIt supposed to be inside the RG, or in the Group around the RG? I couldn’t find it as a source when it was inside the RG, just inside of the same group.

Here’s the link to take a look:

Is everything fine? Or did I do it wrong? lol are you saying to run a search for the data source for the Drag It or to set the data source to the RepeatingGroup’s List of Spaces (the data type I’m sorting)

Hello
Did you do the latest update?

The “updated list” is for other tasks such as saving the new list.

Use RG Sync Source for repeating group :+1:

Yes, and for RG’s source use the last state of element, RG Sync Source

There are no extra settings, other fields are optional. :cowboy_hat_face:

I am on the latest update (1.1) - I just switched to RG Sync Source which does load the list…but whenever I try to attach a ‘sort’ to it it stops working (the sort is a list of numbers on the Group, not the RG items). Whenever I try to use a SortOrder field on the RG, I cannot find a way to save all items on the RG with the new SortOrder, as it’s just 1 number per item, not a full list which is what I’m getting.

Why do you use that sort list?
If it is mandatory for you to use it, you should actually set the repeating group on it and link each number to a specific item, but you probably won’t need this list with this plugin.

May I ask what is the purpose of this list? Maybe we can replace it with something suitable

I thought I had to use a sort list, cause I need somewhere to save the data from your plugin, correct? (the new sort order)

No need to save another list to keep the order of items. The list keeps the items order when saved.

You can use the Updated List to save ordered list and use it later. :spiral_notepad:

Looks like it was on my end. The search used for the RG involved a merge but once I removed that, it worked properly. Thanks!

I think this is where I’m missing something - how am I saving it, and where? Is there an action I need to run?

Hi @NoCodeDataArtisan,

I installed the plugin. The drag and drop seems to be working fine, but the new order of the items is not remembered. When I reopen the app, the order of items is back to what it was. How to resolve this?
