Cosmic Steve here, I’m thrilled to introduce you to my latest creation: the Magic Repeating Group plugin! This is my 7th plugin, I’m really excited to share it with you all.

Why Magic Repeating Group? :thinking:

As many of you might have experienced, the native Repeating Group element in Bubble is quite limiting, and customization is almost non-existent. Here are some of the pain points I’ve encountered:

  • No customization options
  • No looping through items
  • No edge snapping
  • No control via mouse wheel or keyboard arrows
  • No autoplay
  • Boring, unchangeable scrollbar :unamused:

That’s why I’ve tried to overcome those limitations with Magic Repeating Group! :tophat::sparkles:

This plugin takes the Repeating Group to a whole new level with tons of customization options:

  • Add custom scrollbars, bullet indicators, progress bars, and more
  • Display the current item number
  • Integrate custom animations, even in 3D! :rocket:
  • Customize all colors
  • Control the group with mouse wheel or keyboard arrows
  • Get real-time updates on the current item
  • Trigger events when scrolling from one item to the next
  • Enable autoplay with a customizable interval

Here is what you need to do to set it up:

  • create a RG with one column or one row
  • make sure you select “Show all items immediately” in your Repeating Group settings
  • assign an ID to your Repeating Group. To do so, first enable the Bubble option “Expose the option to add an ID attribute to HTML elements”. It is located in your Bubble app Settings → General.
  • Finally, simply add the Swiper element to your bubble page and customize it using the built-in fields.

Heads-Up! :warning:

These features are quite experimental as they bypass some of Bubble’s native constraints. While we’ve done extensive testing, there might be some hiccups along the way. If you encounter any issues, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m here to help and fix things ASAP!
