HI @nick.carroll , whats the best way to get users to update to a new version of the app? My app is now LIVE on iOS
and i noticed that after depracating the older versions, the app doesnt prompt users to update to the newer version automatically. Would love to know how to identify if the app installed on the users phone is an older version, in order to prompt an update.
It looks like there is an app version condition that you couod use to check when page is loaded? And then have sheet or a view they can’t click out of without updating
The update_app view should show automatically if a user is actively trying to access a live version that has been deprecated on your end. Note, this will only trigger when a user tries to perform an action that hits bubble’s backend, like trying to sign in or create a thing.
If you have released a new version of your app to the app store, you can also expire a build in App Store Connect, which will force an upgrade on Apple’s side as well. For OTA updates, deprecating a live version should do it.
also, congrats!!! Whats the app store link to your app, if you dont mind sharing?
thank you @nick.carroll the app is currently available in Ghana but here’s a link to it on the app store.
We are currently testing the android version. I could add you to our internal testers group if you’d like .
Link to app store for anyone in Ghana who sees this.
