How do you guys feel about this?
I’ve worked in agencies that had a policy of only fixing critical bugs on Fridays.
Usually on Fridays, the team’s defenses were a bit low… but still, if we wait until Monday, there’s always that sense of delivering less than what we could.
Curious to know what you guys think.
Do you want to work on weekends, or cause any disruptions for your customers on a weekend?

No way Jose!
Personally, I rather deploy on any other day of the week so I don’t need to put out a fire during the weekend, so that’s why I tend to avoid those Friday deploys.
But you know the drill. Sometimes, it is what it is, urgent things come up.
What I’m saying is, that the whole team must have the same mindset. Otherwise…
Users of most of my apps don’t use them on weekends so Friday is good. I run my own tests with a live version after every deploy.
I do have apps that serve the public. For those I usually allocate some midnight hours for deploy and testing. Coffee and cigarettes are my best friends for those times.

During architecture school, I’ve burnt the midnight oil - no cigars tho.
After a while (a few years), your body shuts down.
Don’t want to tell you what to do, but will tell you from personal experience… these nights come with a price, man.
But of course, I don’t know your constraints, so yeah, if you feel it’s your thing, go get them!

Too late. I’m 41, blackened lungs and need multiple cups of coffee for effect.
