🦄 Not Quite Unicorns acquires Toolbox

Hey everyone!

Happy to announce that Not Quite Unicorns has acquired Toolbox, the most used Bubble plugin and a core part of Bubble app functionality, with almost 900,000 installs.

We’re acquiring it so that we can continue to maintain it as an open source plugin available to the community.

Thanks @mishav for your creation of the plugin and support to the community over the years!

We plan to add more functionality to the plugin, particularly features that allow Buildprint to more effectively implement custom code in your application.

Have a great week, everyone!

Thanks for the acknowledgement George, and for taking on the challenge.

I’m confidant that the many people who use Toolbox are in good hands, and excited to look forward to improvements in integration.

Toolbox should come installed by default.

Conga rats!

This is awesome @georgecollier - it had me worried as we use JS all over our app! Great relief and thank you so much!

You’re amazing, @georgecollier and @mishav! Just so you know.

This is great!! Toolbox plays an important role in maximum of the bubble apps in production. @mishav did a great job maintaining it over the years, and it’s in good hands for the future as well.

It will when Bubble acquires NQU.

I still can’t understand why Bubble hasn’t introduced native JavaScript support. Or why they haven’t released a Toolbox-like plugin themselves, the way they did with the API Connector.

Is nearly 900k installs and the widespread view that Toolbox is a core dependency for most Bubble apps really not a strong enough signal about the functionality users need?

It seems to me it’s a much stronger signal than the demand for a new editor.

At this rate…

Hey everyone!

Happy to announce that Not Quite Unicorns has acquired Bubble.
