One chat per listing per user

Hi everyone :waving_hand:

I’m building a mobile-first Bubble app (marketplace style) and I’m stuck on a chat system.

What I’m trying to achieve

• Only one chat per listing per user

• Inbox shows correctly

• When clicking “Message seller”:

  • open existing thread if it exists

  • otherwise create a new MessageThread
    • Messages should then display inside the chat view

What’s happening

• Sometimes the wrong thread opens

• Sometimes no messages show even though the thread exists

• I’ve tried workflows with search → create → navigate, custom states, and privacy rules

• It’s very close, but something in the logic is fighting me

What I’m looking for

• Someone experienced with Bubble chat / messaging

• Mobile editor experience preferred

• 1–2 hours of help max (paid is totally fine)

• Screen-share or async guidance is perfect
