Possible to add Blog to Template

Sorry for the noob question but is there a relatively easy way to add a blog to an existing zeroqode template? Their template demo “blog” link pointed to medium.com which I thought was odd and suggests that we need a third party blog (i.e. Wordpress) for blog articles, is that true? Thanks!

So, I’m looking to add a blog to my page, for marketing and SEO purposes. However, I’m a little perplexed on the best approach to doing this. So, I want to have a blog, where you scroll down and see the topic titles with images and the very beginning of the text, with a “read more” button that takes you to it’s own page for that particular blog post.
