I agree with this. However, what we all felt from the announcement is that the Bubble is owned by the team and its stakeholders, not us. Everything you have created is, in fact, owned by the platform." This hostage situation scared the hell out of me. I don’t feel that way with AWS even though they don’t have active community discussion.
Btw, I will devote myself to Bubble anyway, there is no alternative for me.
Thanks Emmanuel for your honesty.
Personally, I have been studying Bubble since December 2021 and I am amazed at how complex and powerful it can be.
Being as honest as you are, I will say that I kinda feel guilty of using Bubble and not paying a penny to use it.
I think it would be fair to propose that any Bubble user should expect to be able to study Bubble for a few months (the learning curve to proficiency can be steep). After a few months of investigation and learning should a user wish to pursue building with Bubble, then a minimal fee would apply, say $5-$10 per month. It could be called advanced learning plan.
In my learning, I discovered new resources, and learning tools such as the Ultimate guide to Bubble Performance book by www.amliesolutions.com and the Flex course by Buildcamp. Each time I came across these resources I had to rework my product. A lot of rework. Unfortunately, I could not afford the Bubble bootcamps.
@emmanuel , You and team built a new culture and made no-code become a reality. You developed a reliable product which no one want to give up. It is impacting overall life of many. We are working on senior care products, our services will save life of a senior, sometimes that person could be your loved one. We could build such product because of your vision have such a scalable platform.
You may seriously consider, how your platform can build sustainable mobile applications.

Estimating Your Costs
Isn’t this approach more expensive, less transparent
Bubble’s proposed monthly daily unique visitors is fine. Only DB records is the issue
Bubble should just find replacement metrics for unique visitors and DB records
Lastly, I was quite surprised how accepting people were of the ‘Monthly daily unique visitors’ metric unlike the database records metric. From my visibility of apps being built on bubble (courtesy bdk native), I think it’s equally bad hence added section #3 & #4 above.
The document captures my thought process fairly well at this point. I’ll stop editing it unless strongly required. I’ve set it so that anyone can duplicate it as template.
Hello everyone and thanks @emmanuel for the summary.
First, I love bubble and I think is the greatest thing for nocode ever.
I don’t know if anyone feels the same or it’s just me but it seems that they’re rethinking the new pricing but how long could it take for us to know the new pricing?
I’m like “should I wait to develop the next functionality?” Because what if I invest a lot of time developing in Bubble and couple of weeks later when new pricing comes up, I cannot afford to stay in Bubble because of the pricing.
This is like an every single day thought.
Anyway just a thought that hopefully helps other Bubble users.
Hope they make a new pricing so we all can stay developing in Bubble for years growing every single day.
