Hi everyone,
I’m using the new native mobile push notifications (Send push notification workflow action, Firebase for Android).
Issue: When a notification arrives on Android, the app icon displays correctly in the collapsed state. But as soon as I expand the notification, the icon is replaced by a plain white circle.
What I’ve checked:
- The app icon set in Settings > Mobile settings is a full-color PNG (no transparency).
- I couldn’t find any separate field for a “small icon” (Android requires this to be a white silhouette on a transparent background — different from the large/app icon).
My hypothesis: Bubble might be reusing the single App icon field for both the small icon (status bar / expanded header) and the large icon (collapsed view). On Android, the small icon needs a transparent, monochrome white asset — if a full-color icon is used there, the system can’t render it and falls back to a blank circle.
Question: Is there a way to upload a dedicated small icon for Android push notifications, or is this a current limitation of the beta?
Thanks
