This is a support request regarding the plugin [scroll-tools] - @vnihoul77
I read your fantastic post about fast infinite scroll, great community effort!
I installed the scroll-tools plugin because it seems to be what I need, but I can’t seem to get it working and hoping you can help. I have a hunch about what the problem is which I’ll describe at the end.
I added the scroll-tools element to the page:
With element ID (see above) mapping it to a repeating group:
I added a text element to inspect what’s going with the value I need.
However, the value remains stuck at zero as I scroll around. Top of page (what you see underneath the white zero is the repeating group the scroll-tools element is mapped to):
And slightly lower down the page (you can see that the header, which is floating, is closer to the repeating group):
I’ve also tried mapping the scroll-tools element directly to page’s element ID, but the result is the same.
My hunch is this is because my repeating group has no scroll-bar, and neither does my page (I previously added HTML to remove the scroll-bar). In any case, this tool would be wonderful for my use case (I’m implementing a Prime Video style infinite scroll, where downward scrolling triggers more rows of data to load).
