I want to filter a list of users based on which ones have emails that contain the search term
When I use the email field in the search or filter expression it only allows “=”. I’d like to use the “contains” operator like in text fields. I can’t even tell the email field to format as text to allow the “contains” operator to work.

I’ve heard that the Search feature is a more data-secure and faster since it is done server-side and only send the list of results to the client, whereas things like List filter are done client-side, so everyone’s emails are sent to the client to be filtered - making it both slower and less secure.
Can anyone confirm or dispute that? And any advice, in-general, as to searching / using constraints on private data in a secure way?
