Hi everyone, nice group Bubble has here.
Both my wife & I lost our jobs last month due to the coronavirus, and we’ve been stuck home ever since due to the lockdowns here in NJ.
I’ve been trying to remain sane and keep a positive tone for her, but it’s honestly scary not knowing what the future holds. We were pretty much living paycheck to paycheck before, and potentially being out of work for the next few months is a terrifying thought.
The missus got tired of my worrying lol and told me to attack the problem and meet it head on. So…
As I’ve been in sales my whole life, I’ve decided to take the plunge and start a website using Bubble. But I’m really not a techhead at all and could use some help.
I’ll be purchasing a template from Bubble, and what I need someone to do from there is modify it for a simple location-based directory with the following…
*Background header image with location search bar on homepage
*A “newest members” module below the header that shows the newest advertisers who’ve signed up or I’ve imported
*A blog under the newest members section, which shows the latest posts
*Separate pricing page linked to my PayPal account
*Location search that needs to connects users to listings based on zip code or U.S. city
*The ability to add new listings myself, or the advertiser can do so themselves
*Must be easy for me to do everything needed myself, like posting new blog articles, uploading members, etc.
*Must be fully responsive for all devices
*Claimable listings (if possible)
*Highlighted premium member listings (if possible)
Since my budget is tiny (pizza & beer type money) I’m not expecting a world-class website, only a clean, simple, functional one. I’m also willing to compromise on certain items if they’ll be too costly or complicated. This is the reason I’m purchasing a template to begin with, so most of the work will already be done for you.
If anyone can help us we’d be greatly appreciative. My wife and I are kinda running out of options and need to do something fast to at least bring in some income. The website is the first step.
Thanks a bunch - Joe
