💸 Seeking Expert Help! Can I build this and where do I start?

Hello, Bubble community!

My team is currently developing a new real estate tech product and we have been having some issues with the developers that we hired. In my search for an alternative, I recently discovered Bubble and it seems like a capable solution.

However, I would like some confirmation from the community before I invest my time and resources into further learning the Bubble platform and switching over.

About Our App:
Our app is called FlipMatrix and will function as an all-in-one system for real estate investors that offers list-building and list-stacking, requiring a large database of millions of nationwide property records that can be searched and filtered with various criteria. In other words, if the user wants to generate and purchase a marketing list with only property owners who are 50+ years old, have 50%+ equity in the house, and own property in Charlotte, NC, they can select that criteria and search our database of nationwide property records for records that meet that criteria. They would then be able to export as a CSV/Excel file as part of their subscription cost or an a la carte cost [reference: www.listsource.com].

The list-stacking element will allow users to upload CSV files and stack them against other CSV files or records in their user database for records that appear more than once (duplicates) [reference: https://www.reisift.io/].

The app will also need to work with third-party APIs for data enrichment, payment processing (Stripe), and marketing tools that we will provide at an additional cost (i.e. automated cloud dialer, SMS, etc).

Finally, the app will have a CRM component that will allow the users to manage and organize their data in a real estate sales pipeline (like SalesForce or PipeDrive).

Seeking Advice
I consider myself to be relatively tech-savvy and a quick learner, so I am seeking expert guidance on the following:

• Is it possible to build a complex app like this in Bubble?

• Can Bubble handle the performance requirements to manage all of this on a large scale with thousands of users and is it possible to run concurrent API requests for faster processing in Bubble without crashing?

• Is it possible to create a beautiful UI/UX design in Bubble? I have noticed that the templates and most of the app design in the Bubble showcase are not very impressive in this regard.

• As a Bubble newbie, what is the most cost-effective and efficient way to build this? Please share any detailed resources for bootcamps, agencies, documentation, etc that could give us the full capability of building this app.

• If you are an expert or instructor who can help direct me through this development process, I would be happy to compensate you for your assistance!

Top Priorities

  1. UI/UX
  2. Performance
  3. Efficiency

Competitors

Below are some links to video walkthroughs of some apps that we are competing with. Both of them have much of the same functionality as what we are going for, but we would like to develop something with a better UI/UX.

Thank you for your consideration and I appreciate any feedback and assistance!

Yes it is. You can build pretty much anything you can dream up to an extent and this application is completely possible as Bubble provides easy ability to connect to APIs, download CSVs, upload CSVs

Yes, but it requires your app is optimized in all areas. Bubble allows you to scale as you grow, so you could start on a lower paid tier and as your business grows and so do your needs you can upgrade to higher subscription tiers.

Yes

I take some offense. I’m not a designer but I believe my templates are pretty good looking.

You could always hire a designer to create the design and have another developer do the real magic of workflows and backend

You could join one of my next upcoming Bootcamps

Or get in touch for coaching/mentoring which can be done 1 on 1 or offered as a group for a team. I also do development as well.

Feel free to PM me with any questions or concerns.

Cheers

Matt

Hey @boston85719, I appreciate your detailed reply! Your reassurance makes me feel more confident in moving forward with Bubble.

As for the UI/UX of our project, we want to replicate something similar to the Apple UI/UX that is clean, impactful, and highly intuitive. Do you have any recommendations for where to find high-quality designers for hire who could do this? Is there a platform or directory to hire designers who can build for Bubble? Does it even matter if they are familiar with Bubble or can I easily import their designs to Bubble? I noticed that Figma designs can be imported to Bubble pretty nicely, so I was planning to research that further.

If I joined your Bootcamp, would that be a fitting solution for me to learn how to build everything that I mentioned in my OP or would a 1-on-1 mentor/coach be a better solution for this?

I don’t believe so, especially if using the import Figma design. However, if not using Figma I believe any designer should be capable of providing details that any competent Bubble developer could replicate the design.

I use upwork.com when looking for freelancers of various types. Not sure of a specific platform dedicated to Bubble, but I’ve seen some no-code dedicated platforms floated on the forum in the past, just can’t recall the names.

The Bootcamp is designed to help learn the basics and some of the more advanced features, but wouldn’t necessarily touch on all the core features of your application. A tailored 1 on 1 would of course allow you to direct your learning onto the core features of your app.

I’d say for your situation 1 on 1 may be a better fit as you can have each session directed toward your needs at the moment, as well as can be scheduled as frequently or infrequently as you wish.

If considering cost and time, there may be trade offs. For cost, the bootcamp would be less costly on a per hour basis, whereas considering time, the 1 on 1 sessions may enable you to get your product built faster since there would be the more dedicated and concentrated approach to your application.

Feel free to send me a PM if you’d like to discuss things further or have any other questions.

Cheers

Matt
