Server logs are not responding

I need to debug the backend workflow, and the only way that I came up with is to see the server logs.
every time I click on the link “zoom in to this workflow”, the screen gets loaded and then nothing shows up.

Is there any other way to see how the backend workflow is working on each step?
or how do I solve this server log issue?
