Setting states of page

Hello! I apologize if this is a stupid question. I am trying to add multiple custom states to my index page (projects, tasks, users) so that I can make related elements visible/invisible.

I have created the state on the index page, and set projects as the default:

But when I try to create the additional states, I am confused how to type it in. Do I use quotes or a space or something?

Sorry, I am struggling with some aspects of Bubble expressions and syntax. I wish I could find a good detailed tutorial on building expressions.

So two questions: 1) Can you tell me how to set up the states?; 2) Are there any good tutorials for writing more advanced expressions?

Thanks so much for your help!

No… in Bubble you don’t need to put texts inside quotes…

So, for your condition you just need to type the text into the expression as you have.

Just click anywhere outside of the dropdown to confirm it.

Thank you. I just tried it (the same way I have been doing it and the way you suggested) and it finally worked. I wonder if it was a sequencing issue of setting up the workflow trigger first and then the conditional on the element second.

Thanks for your help!
