I am on a paid plan. In settings I have enabled the “Expose a sitemap file” option and picked a few pages there. When I use Google Search Console I am told that no sitemap has been detected. So is this feature working or not??

It usually takes a bit to update. Maybe check back in some time? Also, you can check you sitemap by yourdomain/sitemap.xml.
So the sitemap file is there but contains only two html addresses nothing else. Those are the right addresses that I selected in the config section but a sitemap should contain a few other things. That is why google probably doesn’t recognize it. So I guess I need to create one myself…
