I’ve found a Modal to be way faster in terms of UX vs. a sheet. A modal opens snappier and smoother - while a sheet tends to lag on open (especially 1st open).
Has anyone else noticed this? Should I expect a sheet’s performance to improve?
For now I’m going to prioritize using modals instead of sheets. Also, sheets don’t let me add a sticky button to the bottom for a big save button or something. User has to scroll to see the call to action.
Thanks for flagging - we will look into the sheet performance on first load post launch. If you want a floating button on a sheet, you can make the sheet a reusable element!
Thanks Nick. I’m not seeing how this is possible. The goal is to have a sticky button at the bottom of a sheet - so user always sees the primary button even when they scroll.
I tried what you said above and I can’t get a button to remain stick (floating) relative to top or bottom on a sheet.
No matt what I do, I can’t get this floating group (and save button inside of it) to float. I’ve messed with snap points, view type of scrollable vs not scrollable, and I’ve even moved the floating group to the top, bottom, center, etc and it will not float.
I’ve only been able to acheive a floating group (sticky button) on modals or views.
UPDATE: This works on vertical list only. It does not work if scrollable or not-scrollable (is that a bug or is it designed only to work w/ vert list?)
@nick.carroll your support team does not have access to Mobile Beta in the forum. I filed a bug report for this (hope you got it) and referenced this post. They said they dont have access to read this post.
