Static & Dynamic Image -> what is the difference?

Hello,

I would like to add a responsive background picture (a basic blue shape), so that it fits either to computer screen (cf image 1) and smartphone screen (cf image 2).

I am a beginner on bubble ; I don’t know the difference between static and dynamic image ? Is dynamic image a way to have a responsive layout ?

Thanks a lot for your help

Georges

Static: If you want your image to be permanent, such as your company or application’s logo.
Dynamic: If you want your image to change based on user activity, such as user profile picture, or photos from their holiday, or if you’re building a store front, product images.

Thanks for your feedback !

Hello! I have a kind of related question. I’m also pretty new to bubble and was wondering if it would be better to have a static or dynamic image in terms of workload and storage usage.

I want to display an image for a “category” in a sort of “static” way in the sense that the image will never change. Should I upload it as a static image or keep it as a dynamic search for that specific image, which currently exists as the image for that category?

Thanks!

If an image never changes, it should be static. Searching means WU. No matter how you design it, it will be more costly if it is dynamic.

Thank a lot! I’ll make sure to change my images to static ones.
