Strugling with linking database with workflow

Hello everyone, will really appreciate some help.
In my database, i have Company (type) : with variables like company name and address.
then i have user (type) with variables like username and Company(field type company).
I created a workflow for a company to be created and then added to the users company but the latter doenst work. the company is created but not added to the user. WHat am i doing wrong?
