Thoughts on this real estate Web app project. Need your feedback

Hey Bubble community! I’m thrilled to announce my fully functional real estate web app built entirely on Bubble. MooveIn is designed to bring efficiency and simplicity to the property search and agent-client communication process.

Here’s a quick overview of what’s included:
:house: Admin, Agent & User Dashboards: Agents can easily post and manage property listings, while users can search and save.
:speech_balloon: In-App Messaging: Agents and users can communicate directly within the platform for smoother property inquiries and negotiations.
:mag: Search, Save & Rate: Users can search for properties, save their favorites, and leave reviews for agents.
:star: Agent Ratings & Reviews: Build trust with a transparent rating system.

It’s packed with features and ready to go! If anyone is interested in taking this project further, feel free to reach out – this is a great opportunity for those looking to enhance their real estate business or start a new venture. I’d love to see where this could go in the hands of the right person or team!

Looking forward to your thoughts!

I’ve actually built something in this space recently, so I’ll share my honest take from going through it.

A real estate web app like Zillow (listings, search, filters, messaging, dashboards, etc.) is absolutely possible in Bubble at MVP or even early production stage. The real limitation isn’t “can you build it?” — it’s how you structure it for scale from day one.

From experience, the parts that usually get underestimated are:

  • Search + filtering architecture (this is where most apps start slowing down, not the UI)
  • Data modeling for listings + relationships (agents, owners, tenants, messages, saved searches, etc.)
  • Image handling strategy (people often attach too much directly to Things → that becomes painful later)
  • Performance of large datasets + SEO expectations (Bubble is fine for app-like use cases, less ideal if you rely heavily on organic search traffic like a directory site)

For anything beyond a few thousand listings, you also quickly end up using external tools for search (Algolia / Typesense style setups), otherwise filtering starts becoming the bottleneck rather than Bubble itself.

One thing I’d add is that a lot of people try to copy Zillow directly — but in practice, the successful Bubble builds I’ve seen in real estate tend to be more workflow-driven products rather than pure marketplaces.

For example, I ended up building more of a property operations / management layer instead of a pure Zillow-style clone. It solved a different pain point but avoided a lot of the scaling traps that come with marketplaces.

If it helps as a reference, this is what I ended up shipping:
