The hardest part for me is finding bugs. You add a feature, some random thing breaks, and you’re stuck digging through workflows wondering how it’s even connected… But not gonna lie, figuring it out and solving it is kinda the most fun part
Personally for me it’s having to find workarounds for stuff that Bubble doesn’t do well. It feels like you’re always just around the corner from having to find the next workaround or convoluted way to implement something. Resolving bugs would come second to that. Usually these are OK but occasionally there are bugs that show up in the error console but not as an “Issue” in the Issue Checker. Those are the worst to debug.
I took over a month off from Bubble to focus on another project, and when I came back, my app was riddled with bugs - even the live app, which I haven’t updated in months. Weird repeating group styles and behavior, visability conditions triggering when they shouldn’t. It’s very very frustrating since I just started getting paying users, and I’m trying to sell my SAAS.
I filed bug reports, but all I get is the AI bot saying someone will get back to me. It’s really, really demoralizing - and I’ve spent years getting to this point.
