Updating a repeating group

I can see this question, but the answers don’t work for me.

I have a repeating group where I have a reusable element that calls up a group fucus so I can have the popup be right near the icons.

So, the delete icon calls up a pop up that asks if you’re sure you want to delete, then deletes the thing that is in the RG. The thing gets deleted out of the database, and the info disappears off the RG, but the icons don’t move.

Does anyone know how to get the icons to disappear along with the data?

Is it possible to delete the item from whatever thing you’re pulling the list from? For example, deleting both the ingredient, and the same ingredient from the list on the recipe.
