Variable Text in CSS marquee

I’m trying to create a text ticker that reads the “Title” of a “News Post” datatype. My plan was to assign a “News Post” data type to the parent group, change that with workflows, and read the text from that to insert into the HTML using dynamic text.

I get the formatting to work, but I cannot get the variable/dynamic text to work. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Nothing, it’s simply blank. When I replace
title
with
Parent Group’s New Post’s Title

then nothing shows. That’s what I cannot figure out… how to pass the variable context into the marquee
