Video Calling for Native Bubble

Is there a video calling plugin that works well with Bubble Mobile builder? I understand that some of them may have been built with web view in mind exclusively. Which would be the best of the Agora plugin and the Daily.co plugin. Is there any others that I am missing that you think would be a better choice for the Mobile Native builder?

For Bubble Mobile Builder, both Agora and Daily.co can work, but they have different strengths.

  • Agora: Known for its low latency and high-quality video calls, Agora’s plugin is a good option. However, it might require some setup for mobile use since it was initially designed for web views. It works well with the mobile app, but you might need to configure it specifically for mobile performance.
  • Daily.co: This plugin offers a more seamless experience for both web and mobile apps, as it’s designed to be highly adaptable. It supports features like group video calls, screen sharing, and mobile compatibility.

Other alternatives include:

  • Twilio: Twilio’s video API can integrate well with Bubble and is mobile-friendly. It’s a bit more complex to set up but offers robust features.
  • Jitsi Meet: Another option for video calls, Jitsi provides an open-source solution that can be integrated into Bubble. It’s less polished compared to Agora or Daily, but it could work depending on your needs.

Between Agora and Daily.co, Daily.co might be the best fit for mobile, as it’s built with responsiveness in mind. However, it depends on your specific requirements (like video quality vs. ease of integration).

I know this is an old thread, but sharing an update in case anyone else comes across it looking for native video calling in Bubble.

We’ve added a Daily Mobile Call element to the Video, Audio & Live Bundle. It works with Bubble’s native mobile builder and lets people join and leave calls, set their name, and turn their mic and camera on or off. Previously, you had to build a web app and use a third party to wrap that web app to use the Daily plugin on a mobile app. Now we’ve updated the plugin so that it can work natively with Bubble’s mobile app editor.
