When uploading data in CSV format, what data should I create if the DataType is set as field?

There are two DataTypes, A and B.
The field A is set for B.

In this case, how do I create the CSV data so that I can upload the data?
Please let me know if there is a better way.

You put the unique id of thing A

If I recall correctly, you can also use the text of a certain field in ‘A’ to match.

Thanks for the response.
I was able to solve the problem that way.

Thanks for the response.
I see that there is a way to do it that way.
I will study it.

If you’re uploading CSV via the app editor, then yea you can do what @nocodejordan said and it will ask you which field you want to use to lookup the relationship. Whatever field that is on type A has to be unique though since it won’t know which one to pick.

If you’re uploading CSV as data via the workflow action then yea only the unique will work to auto-match the database relationship. I have done it in the past where there is a “post import” workflow that runs through and matches up those fields with another field but it requires a :pinching_hand: wee bit of set up.

@eli 's 1T - CSV Uploader plugin is really useful for uploading CSV data in chunks and letting you remap columns to different fields, but it won’t solve the “pick which field to match” issue still
