Why does the API connector call 4 times per Call?

Hello!

I’m using a paid API Endpoint with the API Connecter to get information.

My weird problem: The API provider claims, I’m calling the API four times per call instead of once. This is making the usage very expensive.

Does somebody know, why this might be the case? What is happening in the background of the API Connector?
