Workflow - make changes to thing

Hi
I have a workflow that uses multiple steps to update a thing … could someone explain the difference between

Thing to change = “Current Page Flight” (in my case)
and
Thing to change = result of step n

so if
step n is the first step to modify flight (set to change Current Page Flight)
is there a difference if
step n+1 is set to change Current Page Flight
OR Result of Step n

No, there’s no difference in that.
It can be helpful if you’ve done a “do a search for” or “create new” and you want to refer to that record.
