[Update March 5, 2020] BDK Native Apps v1.7 released

Hi everyone,

I’ve just completed an app release to iOS and Android with the help of Gaurav and BDK Native Apps. I had a fantastic experience working with Gaurav.

The big BDK highlights for me were:

  • I had read through lots of forum posts but felt overwhelmed on how to actually convert my web-app to an iOS and Android app; BDK made the process as easy as possible
  • Save a ton of time, effort, and confusion from trying to wrap the app myself — this time saved pays for itself 10x over
  • My app has several native features that go beyond what is available on Bubble alone, e.g. loading screens, easy in app purchases on iOS, easy OneSignal native notifications, and using native video player
  • You can continue to edit and improve your Bubble app while also submitting to the app store; all the Bubble changes will push immediately to your app the same way they push to your web-app

And the highlights for working with Gaurav:

  • Amazingly responsive on chat - whenever I had questions about the process, or when I got an error on my app submission, Gaurav responded quickly and with thorough guidance
  • He went above and beyond to add in some feature requests specifically for me, e.g. I wanted to be able to send images in notifications and he coded that up and added it for me
  • He’s continually improving the offering in BDK and I’m looking forward to new features that are coming out (e.g. he’s working on a way to improve app loading speed)
  • Above all, Gaurav felt like a teammate rather than merely fulfilling a business transaction

For anyone that wants to get their Bubble app onto the app stores, who wants to save a lot of time and get some hand holding and guidance along the way, I highly recommend working with Gaurav and the BDK.

By the way - you can check out my web-app today (an early childhood language development app) at https://speakeasycommunity.com. In a few weeks, we’ll be live on the iOS and Android store as the “SpeakEasy: Home Speech Therapy” app; we’ve been approved to both stores already and are just working on a few improvements before launching.

Thanks @gaurav!
