Hi, a basic question, can anyone point me in the direction for info on adding test fields to a database. The video attached to the section and other videos on line are not the same as what I see when I follow the steps.

Hi there, @bonser-backup… what do you mean by adding test fields to a database? What video are you referring to? If you can clarify what you are trying to do (screenshots are always helpful), I’m sure someone will be able to point you in the right direction.

Hi Mike, Thanks for your reply. I will try to explain, I am a new user.
So this is the data entry point the user will see.
This is the database it will be sent to.
And this is the point I am stuck at.
The video box to the right is the pop-up help video that plays when you press the play button in the left hand side box. It has been paused at the exact same point that I have followed it in the left hand side box, but if you look, what I see and what the video says I should see are different. I have experimented with some options but to no avail.

Well, for some reason (either intentional or unintentional), it looks like you have made your Description field a list field, and I would expect that field to be a text field that isn’t a list. If you don’t need that field to be a list field, you will need to delete the field and create a new one that isn’t a list.
Ah, ok so corrected that and now its looking more like it. Only now I get 1 menu further before it differs…
You must have a text element on the page instead of an input element.
No offense here, but what you are trying to do is about as basic as it gets, and I would strongly suggest you take a step back and work through the tutorials and watch the academy videos. Bubble’s learning curve is steep, and without a good understanding of the basics, you are really going to struggle to get up that curve.
