Air Native (Zeroqode) app failing Google Play API 36 / 16KB page size requirements — product discontinued, need path forward

Hi everyone,

I manage Petschats (Android package com.zqpetschats), a Bubble app packaged as a native Android app using Zeroqode’s Air Native service, not Bubble’s own official Native Mobile / Mobile Beta product. Google Play Console is now flagging two compliance issues that the Air Native build does not meet: target API level 36 (Android 16), since apps must target API 35 by Oct 31, 2026 with a further bump to 36 required soon after, and 16 KB memory page size support, required by Jan 31, 2027.

Since Air Native builds the APK/AAB outside of Bubble’s own editor, there is nothing I can change on the Bubble side (no access to native libraries or the manifest), so I contacted Zeroqode directly. Here is what I found. Zeroqode has discontinued the Air Native product entirely; now redirects to a page confirming it. Existing customers keep support and access to their licenses, but no new licenses are being sold. I opened an Intercom support chat, currently marked waiting for a teammate. I also emailed Zeroqode support and got a reply from a team member (Constantin) saying that rebuilding via Bubble’s own builder/wrapper using React Native 0.81+ would resolve both the target API and 16 KB issues.

That is exactly what I would love help clarifying here. Bubble announced a 16 KB page size fix in December 2025 for its own official Native Mobile / Mobile Beta product, which is a separate technology from Zeroqode’s Air Native (a WebView based third party wrapper, not built by Bubble). Does Bubble’s own native compiler fix actually apply to apps built via third party wrappers like Air Native, or is Constantin’s advice only relevant if we migrate away from Air Native to Bubble’s own Mobile Beta / Native Mobile pipeline? Has anyone here successfully migrated an Air Native app to Bubble’s native Mobile Beta build in order to meet these Play Store requirements, and if so, what was involved?

Tagging @ZeroqodeSupport since you have been responsive on similar Air Native threads before, any guidance would be hugely appreciated, especially given the product’s discontinued status and the approaching deadlines of Oct 31, 2026 and Jan 31, 2027.

Thanks in advance!
