AMA with Josh and I on April 3, 12:30 - 1:30 PM ET

Hello everyone!

The response to yesterday’s AI vision announcement has been incredible! We’re seeing so many thoughtful questions and excited reactions about how AI will enhance the Bubble platform throughout the entire development lifecycle.

To dive deeper into this vision, Josh and I are hosting a live AMA (Ask Me Anything) session where we’ll discuss our AI vision, answer your questions, and share additional insights about how we’re approaching AI integration across the generate, iterate, and scale stages.

Event details:

  • April 3, 2025
  • 12:30 – 1:30 PM ET

Have questions about our AI approach? Want to get our take on vibe coding? Curious about specific features in the roadmap? Want to know how AI and visual development will continue to supercharge each other?

Drop your questions in the comments below. We’ll collect them before the event to ensure we cover the most-asked topics, though there will also be an opportunity to ask questions live during the session.

Who should attend?

Everyone should register! Whether you’re using our AI app generator for the first time, a long-time Bubbler, or just getting started with no-code development, this session will provide insights into how AI will improve your building experience today and in the future.

This isn’t just about technology‌ — ‌it’s about how we’re reimagining the future of development together.

Register now and submit your questions below.

Looking forward to seeing you there,

Emmanuel

P.S. If you haven’t seen our AI vision announcement yet, check it out here to get up to speed before the AMA!

Excited to see the event! My question is does bubble use users apps to train the models which this features uses? If so, does this include user’s personal apps and templates?

This is an enormous IP ownership / data question I know a lot of people are asking themselves so it would be great to clear this up, thanks!

My Question:

When will we be able to access an alpha oder beta?

  1. As Bubble is stating the AI gets your app 80% there, what is the percentage decrease Bubble expects to see in the prices of app Bubble app development projects for an average agency/freelancer? Is it expected to be in the range of ‘80% of the app is built by the AI so cost to complete project is 80% less than before AI’?
  2. Bubble has stated seeing a 1.5X increase in the number of new users since releasing AI features. Is that translating to a 1.5X increase in the number of new subscriptions for apps? If not, what is the percentage of new users starting with AI that are turning into a paid subscription for a deployed live app?
  3. What does Bubble expect to realistically happen for agencies/developers in terms of their needs to increase client acquisition if a scenario plays out where the ‘80% app completed by AI, can be priced to developer at 80% less than prior rate, means agency/freelancer need 5X the number of client projects to retain current income, but Bubble AI is only luring 1.5X the number of new potential clients in the form of new Bubble users’?
  4. What is a realistic timeline for when Bubble AI will be able to integrate with 3rd party APIs?
  5. Is Native Mobile AI going to be a thing soon or is all the AI work being done right now only translatable to Bubble webapps?
  6. Any plans on implementing features that allow us to leverage other AI systems that might be more task specific, like an AI built for design, that could be akin to the import from figma feature?
  7. Is Bubble going to charge for using the AI? If so, what might that look like?
  8. The quoted question below…please address this.

I tried to use Operator from AI to build an app with bubble and it only managed to build a “hello world”. What are the steps to build with operator. What other AI agents do you recommend? Will Bubble create an agent to build apps in Bubble?

I guess the answer is YES and the official answer is NO. Seriously, we have to rethink privacy. I think it is gone forever, good so.

This really is the most important question. I still don’t have access to the mobile rollout… it’s been nearly a year since I was added to the waitlist.

Will we be able to select the latest models to use or switch between models?

Whats the typeline for things an ai might need like loops, workflow braches, etc so it can build more efficient

When will ai be added to low hanging fruits like api connector, creating reusable elements or generating tables/things/option sets?

I like your vision with using AI to empower developers.
However, AI is all about data and as soon as my clients apps reach more than 100 paying clients I am forced by the WU system to move everything to xano.
If businesses take AI seriously, it will lead to more data and workflows for apps, making apps unfeasible on the current WU system.
Have you considered that?

The vision is great and the pain of using other AI app builders struggling to go beyond 80% is real.

However, being a non coder, two biggest hurdles which I would love bubble solve (or share intent to solve):

  1. Make it seamless to exit bubble with 100% code and data. Charge if you want to basis the complexity or resources used etc. But in today’s environment vendor lock is a non-starter.

  2. Please make it easy to getting things done. The learning curve is too steep and it feels like I spend most time “learning how to use bubble” vs. Actually building my product.

Thanks.

Question: How do you plan to address observability? Can we have a preview/sandbox of individual changes rather than having changes applied as a batch?

Context:

Will we see new animations in the “Interactive tab” in the editor?

I like the general direction you are taking with combining AI and visual coding! It just makes sense.

  1. Will Bubble ever allow users to export and modify the underlying code, so they can fully own it? Or even go full open source?

  2. It is already possible to add some code snippets. Are there plans to extend this?

  3. When you look at Bubbles capabilities around 1) Frontend-Design, 2) Database and 3) Backend/ Logic. Where do you see its strengths and weaknesses and what will you prioritize?

  4. When I started with bubble, I got stuck many times just because some Bubble-specific information was hidden deep in one of the many forum posts. I think you could help new bubblers a lot just by presenting this information more systematically in the right context. Are those quality of life improvements still on the table, or do you hope AI will solve everything?

Hello,
I am writing regarding a transaction dispute with Bubble. Despite my request to cancel a trial subscription, Bubble ignored the cancellation, continued to charge my credit card for several months without notification, and subsequently declined my request for a refund.

In this context, as I was asked to provide questions. Therefore, I would like to ask: Are there plans at Bubble to implement systems, potentially involving AI, to ensure customers are not charged without notification after trial periods? Furthermore, are steps being taken to establish more robust procedures for handling customer complaints effectively?

AI seems to be the main focus on progressing the bubble platform (understandably with all the capabilities LLMs bring with them). However there are still key functionalities missing for bubble platform to resemble a touring complete programming language.

In what capacity is Bubble planning to still progress the issues of:

  • native support for Loops (For / While etc.)
  • improving expression composer according to many feedbacks raised in forum (grouping AND and OR statements, editability in the middle)?
  • Using values in memory
  • control of concurrency
  • Proper If, then, else logic
  • improving privacy control of access to Things based on complex Roles

For me, if the above issues are not adressed, the push to moving off of Bubble in short to middleterm is sacrosanct. The aforementioned issues seem to be very important for seasoned Bubblers – rather than pushing out hacky prototypes with the help of integrated LLMs.

Best,
Florian

Are you prioritizing AI over Native Mobile?

P.S. - Great positioning and timing…the vibe code hype train realized the limitations with iterating and editing. I know from experience.
