IP not mentioned

I had to ping the record to get the IP. Why is this not mentioned? I can only put in IP addresses in my domain record manager.

That IP isn’t guaranteed to be static.

My provider only accepts IP

Services from providers shouldn’t be dynamic. If it’s because of a fallback server ip, couldn’t you still reuse the ip address?

Hey guys! Peter does go over this in his videos, but it boils down to: our IPs are not guaranteed to be static because we’re using Cloudflare, which redirects through a variety of IP addresses. We are currently looking into getting a single fixed IP from Cloudflare, since we know that the current setup can be a little complicated to work with, but at this time it is not an option that we’re able to provide.


That’s really confusing as this is essential. Can you close this topic?
